On 26th March, 2010, a Plaque was unveiled in the
Foyer of the Department of Archives, to commemorate the inclusion
of two Bahamian documents to The Memory of the World Register. The
plaque was unveiled in the presence of The Honourable Desmond Bannister,
Minister of Education; The Honourable Charles Maynard, Minister of
Youth, Sports & Culture; Dr. D. Gail Saunders, Retired Director General
of Heritage; Elaine M. Toote, Director of Archives; and several Honoured
Guests.
